A Message from Samantha

Hello! My name is Samantha Jayne Windfer and this is my first novel.

Before I tell you a bit about my novel, let me tell you a bit about myself.

For starters, I am a fictional character author – blogger Judy Kaye Thompson has created not only for the writing of this novel, but for part of a future website project along with my co character she has named Skyretta. I was born and raised in the tiny country of town of San Billings, Missouri, to Harold Sheffield and his mistress Aveilia Novak – Windfer.

I am an only child. Though mom and Harold never married, Harold did secretly took care of us.

Mom and I lived in a tiny three room shack deep within the Missouri Ozarks while Harold, his wife June Harper – Sheffield and their daughters Kari Lyn and Barbie Jeanne Sheffield.

Yes, I did attend school and I did attend the same school as Harold’s other children. Since I take my looks after my mother, I don’t think they know exactly who I was. While I wasn’t an A student or involved in sports like they were, I did do well in school excelling in English, Speech and Journalism. After graduation, I pursued a career in journalism.

Enough about me on with this letter. My novel is entitled ‘Love Dilemma, Hollywood Style.” It’s a story about a country girl who goes to Hollywood and becomes a successful movie star while being romanced by two different men. I don’t give away the entire story so I’m gonna stop here.

Sincerely Yours,              Samantha Jayne Windfer.

Lorenza Cannon

Lorenza Marie Cannon was born and raised on the family farm on the outskirts of Juliet, Missouri. The oldest of three children: two boys and a girl born to Daniel and Amanda Whitman – Cannon.

Although she could not sing or play an instrument, the young girl longed to be part of the country music scene. Enough so that when she learned how to write, Lorenza kept a diary in which she jotted down her country music dreams, which later in her young life has become the source of inspiration for her debut novel simply entitled Nashville.

In school, Lorenza excelled in Math, English and Speech. Enough so that she could easily have a successful career in the world of finance.

Rachel Marsten

Rachel Jayne Marsten was born and raised in Illiad, Illinois, to Ray and Samantha Bankcroft – Marsten. She is the second to the youngest of four girls.

From the earliest she could remember, Rachel loved singing and dancing. Every chance she got, Rachel would sing her favorite songs with little dance moves.

In grade and junior high school, Rachel participated in every play she could especially when it involved singing.

During high school, Rachel and a few of her friends formed a band and began playing at the local café. Rachel and her band Iliad became a sensation. Then tragedy struck the band, three members: sisters Gloria and Nikki Frank and Chely Butler while on a road trip was killed in a head on collision with a drunk driver. That left Rachel and her friend and bandmate Lynda Strickland.

Rachel and Lynda was a huge success as a duo, but their success was short lived, Lynda fell seriously ill and passed away. That left only Rachel. Rachel knew if she did not leave town, she will be next in line to die.

To ease the pain of losing her band mates and the realization that she will be next, Rachel learned how to play the guitar and wrote a country ballad and made a demo. She also had a few great photos taken.

Upon the day she got her own car, Rachel said goodbye to her family and headed for Nashville in hope of making it big as a country singer.

Once in Nashville reality set in and despite having a great demo, Rachel couldn’t get anyone in the music industry to even listen to her demo.

Rachel was about to give up when a chance opportunity came along. At a local café, Rachel got the chance to sing a song with the café’s country band The Kentucky Girls who had been looking for a lead singer was having an audition contest one night and Rachel successfully won the contest.

The rest they say is history.

Bobby Coultas

Bobby Joe Coultas was born in Richland, Kentucky but raised in Iceland, Kentucky. He is the youngest of four boys and one girl born to Dean and Ruthann Suttles – Coultas.

Father was a farmer who often plays guitar at the local tavern while mother was a housewife and a part time cook at the tavern. Often Bobby will sing while father plays guitar. Neither one was professional but very popular among the town folk.

While older brothers Gavin and Caleb and younger sister Raquel weren’t interested in performing even though they certainly had the talent, Bobby was and he too had the talent.

But Bobby also had a flaw that could easily hinder his singing career – he suffers from Agoraphobia – the fear of crowds.

During his school years, Bobby wasn’t exactly a good student, but he did manage to pass every class and graduate high school.

It was during his senior year, Bobby formed the country band Ikeland. While he also liked rock and roll, his favorite music was country.

For more months, Bobby’s band was riding high as they performed in all the local bars they could get into.

Then one night, Bobby’s agoraphobia hit him hard during a live performance. His band was so embarrassed by Bobby’s strange behavior, they kicked him out of the band although Bobby was the one who had started the band in the first place.

Although his band mates knew about his agoraphobia and had even witnessed an episode or two, they didn’t actually believe he truly had it. They thought it was just a joke and blew it off as such.
