Once Upon A Future Time

Once upon a future time in America, an historic weather event occurred.

In the summer of 2031, a large oval shaped hole like image appeared in the sky above the American Midwest.

While several unusual hole like shapes had appeared in the sky over America before it, this particular image was different.

Different how?

This particular sky hole image has allowed the sun rays shimmer through it onto the American Midwestern ground below it; therefore, the Earth no longer had any protection from the blistering sun rays.

As a result, the ground and air became so hot that Humans had to create a substance that will prevent them from getting scorched every time they touch a surface. Even walking along the sidewalks and streets became unbearable.

Rebecca

Rebecca Lawless had just turned twenty-seven years old the morning she was called into the office of her boss, magazine publisher Jared Murphy to receive her next assignment.

JARED: Good morning, Rebecca.

REBECCA: Good morning, Mr. Murphy.

JARED: Ever heard of Talico Bay, Florida?

REBECCA: No I haven’t. Why?

JARED: You need to do a bit of research on it.

REBECCA: Why?

JARED: Your next assignment is there.

REBECCA: Excuse me?

JARED: The ESEA is constructing the very first earth starship.

REBECCA: They’ve been doing that for years.

JARED: Not the ESEA.

REBECCA: How can you know that?

JARED: It’s a new agency.

REBECCA: And?

Ingrid

Amidst a warm spring morning, black American beauty INGRID WHITAKER races across the long and narrow grassy driveway of her grandfather’s country homestead.

Several minutes later, Ingrid was jumping over the wooden fences that lead out into the wheat field that separated her grandfather’s homestead from the neighbors homestead.

Although she was only five foot eight, Ingrid had no problem jumping the tall wooden fences. No problem whatsoever.

Just as the sun was at its peak in the sky, Ingrid was doing gymnastics on the swing in the backyard.

It was as if the black American beauty was training for a major sport event. While the major event was definitely true, it was definitely not for a sport event.

Finally exhausted, Ingrid went swimming in the pond on her grandfather’s homestead to cool off.
